The Environmental Commission pursues environmental restoration and conservation projects and organizes community events that are both fun and educational.
Arbor Day
Arbor Day is nationally recognized and encourages tree planting and care, environmental awareness and family-fun activities.
Conservation Management Area
The Conservation Management Area is 3.8 acres of protected open space and a restored natural habitat located off of Brooklake Road.
One Day One School
This event brings together tree professionals, town leaders, students, school administrators and community volunteers to clean up school grounds.
Spring Garden Lake
A primary goal is to restore Spring Garden Lake, enabling visitors to access the lake and enjoy its natural state for hiking, fishing and relaxing.
Traction Trail
In proposal stage is a plan for a trail through what was the Exxon property, linking Florham Park and Madison.
Fish Brook Park
The EC plans to make the Fish Brook Farm property another piece of open space people can enjoy for passive recreation.
